Title: Facilities & Machine Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor
Location: Torrance, CA.
Responsibilites:
  • Test and troubleshooting, all machinery, power equipment
  • Adhere to and manage the preventive maintenance schedule and on all power equipment.
  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.
  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
  • Comply with all OSHA Safety and Health standards for environmental, manufacturing and facilities.
  • Working knowledge of: Tools, materials, methods and practices used in construction and maintenance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Responsible for maintaining PM program
  • Oversees staff of 7 maintenance personnel
Description: Responsible for managing maintenance service and repairs in the areas manufacturing CNC and conventional equipment, carpentry, painting, plastering and electrical servicing for the organization's facilities.
Requirements:
  • Must have knowledge of Haas, Makino, Mori Seki CNC equipment
  • Must have knowledge of mutable types of shop equipment
  • Must have prior experience running a maintenance department.
  • Operation of power and manual tools.
  • Operation of light and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to: Work varying shifts, weekends and holidays.
  • Work extended hours out of doors in varying weather conditions.
  • Perform heavy manual labor.
  • Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 60 pounds.
  • Operate various types of tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, other agencies and the public.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Technical training; exposure to high-speed equipment
  • 5+ years of related experience in a manufacturing shop environment containing CNC machinery and other machines/production machines
  • 5+ years of experience in a supervisory capacity.
  • Knowledge of PM software
  • Facility works software a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 60lbs

Description:
  • Obtain job assignment from Production Supervisor and submit for tool presetting, then follow WIO9247
  • Meets all quality standards in performing assigned tasks.
  • Follow all processes and written work instructions, drawings, schematics and document and report any discrepancies between actual and documented process.
  • Complete all production forms accurately
  • Contributes to production goals of assigned Dept.
  • Good understanding of Job Functions and requirements to succeed.
  • Check Parts Machined and Reference and Calibrated tooling when required
  • Must follow all OSHA standards as well as all written and verbal company safety instructions that have been outlined in the safety manual and training.

Title: Calibration Engineering Manager
Location: Torrance, CA.
Education: BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required
Description:
  • Manage team of 5 dedicated and experienced calibration engineers, prioritizing tasks, and providing technical guidance.
  • Perform calibration of N/A & supercharged engines for maximum power, drivability and to meet emissions requirements on both chassis and engine dynamometers, and on road.
  • Oversee CARB compliance testing, as required, to secure EO certification of various engine components and engine systems.
  • Analyze complex engine control systems to determine how to correct drivability, emissions and customer issues.
  • Analyze emissions test modal results to correct problems with meeting FTP, US-06 and SC-03 requirements.
  • Work with technical support staff to develop solutions for customer issues.
  • Manage complex development projects from start to completion and prepare reports for management on project progress.
  • Visit off-site laboratories and perform required testing and development.
  • Work with mechanical design engineers to improve product quality, performance and efficiency.
  • Suggest ways to improve product design.
  • Operate engine and chassis dynamometers
  • Utilize third party calibration software to optimize OEM & aftermarket ECU parameters, for testing of mechanical components, and to generate robust, production level, emissions compliant, calibrations.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years working in engine calibration and development.
  • 10+ years working in the automotive on-road emissions testing and development.
  • 5+ years experience calibrating engines for power, drivability and emissions performance.
  • 5+ years working with CARB in obtaining EO numbers for automotive on-road applications.
  • 5+ years experience using both OEM and aftermarket tuning tools and software.
  • 5+ years managing a team of at least 3-5 engineers.
  • 7+ years working with both engine and chassis dynamometers.
  • 5+ years troubleshooting engine systems, wiring and software.

Description: The MFG Supervisor job function in our manufacturing organization directs the activities of employees engaged in production work. A manufacturing supervisor also ensures the safety of workers in the organization by setting safety policies for the department

  • Manufacturing supervisors are responsible for the execution of the production schedule.
  • Interacting with production planning to execute the requirements.
  • Monitor set-up/changeovers to ensure proper equipment function
  • Responsible for overall quality on the assigned production line
  • Monitoring operator performance and conformance to procedures
  • Monitor books to ensure all necessary information is recorded by operators.
  • Monitor preventative maintenance records to ensure compliance by both operators and maintenance.
  • Monitor process control records to ensure compliance and initiate actions to correct any non-compliance
  • Maintaining the overall record keeping system on the assigned production line
  • Maintain order and compliance to procedure of the quarantine area (maintaining reject log)

  • Assist Engineering and Quality in continuous improvement activities
  • Make sure that employees in their area understand and follow established safety guidelines

  • Hiring / evaluating employees to meet production goals.
  • The supervisor develops training schedules for new employees and evaluates the performance of workers.
  • Work scheduling also includes placing employees in appropriate positions to increase productivity.
  • Supervisors also maintain and monitors records for employees in the department such as attendance and performance evaluations.
  • Responsible for controlling efficiencies to reducing scrap.
  • Supervisors are responsible for preparing production reports for upper management staff.

Title: Mechanical Draftsman

Description: The CAD Draftsman operates Computer Aided Design (CAD) software, including creating, updating and modifying drawings produced from NX Unigraphics & Pro Engineer 3D modeling software. Proficient at producing drawings/blueprints from CAD models produced in both NX (Unigraphics) and Pro-Engineer (Wildfire/Creo). Must take input and direction from design engineers. Proficient in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Must produce and distribute paper drawings within the company. Must execute approved drawing revisions and update both paper and computer files.
Qualifications:
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years experience as a professional draftsman.
  • Must have at least one year of experience with NX (Unigraphics) and Pro-Engineer (Wildfire/Creo).
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks.
