Performer Multi-Point EFI Systems are designed for 1987-95 Chevy/GMC trucks with 5.7L & 7.4L engines
originally equipped with Throttle Body Injection. These complete systems utilize the stock computer, stock
sensors and throttle body unit (without the stock injectors) for a simple and effective conversion to multipoint
fuel injection. Fuel is injected directly towards the valve for ideal fuel distribution and efficiency.
50-state street legal on most 1987-95 Chevy/GMC trucks and Sport Utility Vehicles. These systems are
not compatible with passenger car engine management systems.
Your Stock Chevy/GMC Throttle Body Fuel Injection
Throttle body injection has two injectors placed above the throttle blades in the air valve. The fuel spray
hits the throttle blades and does not stay suspended in the air stream, resulting in uneven mixture
distribution. This uneven distribution dramatically reduces performance and lowers fuel efficiency.
The results: Low horsepower and torque and sluggish overall performance.
Edelbrock's Multi-Point EFI System... How It Works
The Performer Multi-Point EFI System has eight injectors that spray fuel directly into the cylinder head for
state-of-the-art efficiency and performance. Air is the only thing that flows through the manifold and when
the air combines with the fuel in the intake ports, this high-velocity mixture packs the combustion chamber
for maximum power from every drop of fuel. The results: Maximum performance, improved fuel economy
and crisp throttle response with a broad torque curve for power where you drive the most. All Edelbrock EFI
systems use injectors that are angled towards the cylinder head port. This provides superior fuel dispersion
for more horsepower and better throttle response off-idle and at part throttle than other brands.
