Edelbrock is seeking a qualified Technical Support agent to field technical related phone calls. This position entails accurately handling a high volume of technical related phone calls, in a very professional and humble manner, located in Edelbrock's fast paced busy call center, at our corporate location in Torrance, Ca.

Qualification:
The ideal candidate should posses a basic, to well rounded understanding, and strong passion pertaining to the domestic hi-performance aftermarket parts industry. Knowledge of the following required for consideration: Basic to advanced PC skills (a must), Cylinder heads, Intake manifolds, Superchargers, and basic Valve Train knowledge. Scan tool knowledge, familiarity of SCT and or Diablo hand held programmers (A BIG PLUS!!)

Sr Buyer - Supplier Relationship Manager

Description:
The position will plan, implement, and issue production schedules for assigned manufacturing work areas. This will involve resolving production schedule conflicts and expediting material supply shortages to fill orders.

  • Prepare purchase / planned orders to meet the master production schedule material requirements, and inventory targets.
  • Provide planning solutions for any material shortages, equipment downtime, or other constraints.
  • Interfaces with manufacturing, purchasing, customer service, and quality control as required ensuring the completion of plans.
  • Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
  • Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees/departments.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualification:

  • Be a pro-active individual with a"can-do" attitude.
  • 5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • BA, BS or equivalent with a 10+ yrs exp. in supply chain planning/ materials / Intl Sourcing emphasis.
  • APICS and ISM certification preferred. CSCMP extra
  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise System 11i
  • Knowledge of MRP, BOM's, ERNs and ECO's.
  • Ability to execute problem solving techniques.
  • Strong computer skills to include MS Office Suite
  • Able to use time efficiently and prioritize and plan work activities.
  • Must demonstrate accuracy, productivity and thoroughness while monitoring own work.
