|Dear Fellow Enthusiast,
Welcome to 2013 - It's been 75 Years since my father made his first flathead intake manifold called the "Slingshot". He liked to design products that he could use on his own vehicles and would not produce products until he achieved the performance to win races and make people smile with the results.
From our start in a small garage in 1938, to a leading performance parts manufacturer in 2013, Edelbrock after 75 years has grown to over 400,000 square feet of manufacturing with 400 dedicated enthusiast employees. We still try to live up to what my dad always told me, "Do not sell it unless it does what your customer wants."
We are excited about 2013 and our 75th anniversary and have many exciting items and events planned throughout the year. Nancy and I are personally celebrating this milestone with a new addition to our garage, a '32 Ford, five-window car built by Roy Brizio. This car will feature an Edelbrock equipped Ford 302 stroked to 348 cubic inches. It will be finished in Edelbrock Red with flames, complete with the Edelbrock 75th logo. I cannot wait to drive it!
We intend to introduce the car this year at the 8th Annual Rev'ved Up 4-Kids Charity Car Show benefitting the Edelbrock Family Foundation. The show is a great event and not to be missed! If you're in the area May 5th, 2013 be sure to stop by. We also can't wait to put the car through its paces on this year's Hot Rod Power Tour, the Deuce Day event at Victoria, B.C., Canada and many other events during the year.
For our 75th Anniversary, we're also giving away a 2013 Edelbrock E-Force Supercharged Anniversary Edition Ford Mustang at the 2013 SEMA show in Las Vegas. You can enter to win on our Facebook page, website and at various events we attend. Commemorative items such as 75th Anniversary T-shirts, a DVD, a poster autographed by myself and my daughter Christi, our third generation enthusiast and other items will also be available to you via our website and events throughout the year.
Christi and I continue to campaign our vintage racecars and will be driving our vintage Trans-Am cars this year at Monterey/Mazda Raceway, Sears Point/Infineon, Lime Rock, Watkins Glen and Coronado, California. We are also honored that our '63 Split Window ZO6 Corvette was picked as the feature car for this years Monterey Rolex Motorsports Reunion at Mazda Raceway/Laguna Seca, celebrating 60 years of the Corvette.
We appreciate all of the great comments and feedback we get regarding our products and our commitment, that our core products are "Made in the USA". We look forward to seeing you at events throughout the year.
See you on the road, here in the USA!
