TORRANCE, Calif. (October 10, 2002) – Edelbrock puts the performance in “compact performance” with its new header (PN 4748) for the Ford Focus, the world’s best-selling car. The Edelbrock one-piece header design improves the 2.0-liter Zetec engine’s ability to breathe, making improved acceleration and gas mileage possible. Edelbrock’s research and development team has logged hundreds of hours testing their headers on daily drivers and naturally aspirated track vehicles. The result is gains over the OEM exhaust manifold of eight horsepower (at 3,500 rpm) at the wheels, and eight foot-pounds of torque while retaining the stock cat-back exhaust system. This header is legal for street use in all 50 states. Edelbrock headers utilize laser cut and CNC-machined flanges for optimum fit, and mandrel-bent tubing for maximum flow, helping engines breathe easier. Like all “made-in-the-USA” Edelbrock headers, these ceramic-coated headers for Focus provide a direct-fit and come with all necessary hardware (bolts, washers, gaskets, adapters, extensions, brackets) and instructions for easy installation.
