Maximize Power Potential With New Edelbrock
Victor Series Drag Race Headers

TORRANCE, Calif. (Dec. 5, 2002) – When it comes to drag racing, maximum power is the key to winning. That’s why Edelbrock is displaying its new Victor series drag race headers at the PRI trade show in Indianapolis (booth #1517). The new headers have innovative features to provide the extra power needed to compete.

Unlike other drag race headers, the Edelbrock Victor series are engineered with the correct firing order pulse sequence. The 3/8-inch-thick laser-cut flanges are contoured for an exact fit on a large variety of cylinder heads. Plus, the headers feature a true merge collector with an expansion cone behind the collector exit and include a slip-on collector that allows for tuning the primary pipe length to individual engine requirements. Collector retainer brackets and scavenge tubes can be welded on after header tuning has been completed.

PN 6550 is an upswept-style header for Chevy big-block dragsters (2_-inch, 4-inch collector, 304 stainless steel); PN 6570 is for 1998-2002 Camaros/Firebirds with 5.7 LS1 (1_-inch, stepped to 1 7/8-inch, 3_-inch mild-steel collector; and PN 6560 is for 1996-2002 Mustangs with 4.6L SOHC (1 5/8-inch, stepped to 1_-inch, 3-inch mild-steel collector).

Founded by Vic Edelbrock Sr. in 1938 and celebrating its 65th anniversary in 2003, Torrance-based Edelbrock Corporation (NASDAQ NM: EDEL) is recognized as one of the nation’s premier designers, manufacturers and distributors of performance parts for the automotive and motorcycle aftermarket and is a driving force in the $25 billion specialty equipment industry. Edelbrock’s core product line of performance-enhancing engine, suspension and exhaust system parts, which make up The Total Power Package®, are made in the USA. Edelbrock is also a manufacturer of racing products and a major contingency sponsor of several racing organizations, including NASCAR, the NHRA and the PRO Edelbrock Racing series.
