Edelbrock’s Nitrous Lineup Takes You To The Front Of The Pack

TORRANCE, Calif. (Nov. 5, 2002) – Edelbrock brings serious performance to you with its lineup of nitrous systems and components, designed to provide major power increases, including some gains as high as 500 horsepower!

Whether you drive a muscle car, or late-model fuel-injected machine, Edelbrock has a nitrous system for you. America’s leading manufacturer of aftermarket performance products has more than 50 new nitrous kits including:

Edelbrock’s Performer EFI Nitrous systems offer gains of up to 150 horsepower and are now available for 4.6L Ford Mustang, Mercury Marauder, 2002 Acura RSX, 2003 Honda Civic Si, and Subaru WRX. Performer EFI Systems work with your stock computer for simple installation.

Performer RPM Ford 5.0L Nitrous Kits utilize a 9/16-inch thick spray-bar plate between the lower and upper manifold, and are ideal for racers limited to single solenoid nitrous systems.

Edelbrock/Glidden Series 2 Low-Pressure Nitrous Nozzles (PN 72552) are capable of 500-plus hp gains using a single-stage direct port injection system with zero engine damage. This exclusive patent-pending Edelbrock/Glidden design precisely atomizes the nitrous and fuel mixture to assure consistent and accurate horsepower gains with 5- to 20-lbs. of fuel pressure. For racers with outdated competitors nozzles, the 90° 1/16-inch NPT design of Edelbrock/Glidden Series 2 nozzles is a direct bolt-on upgrade.

Edelbrock/Glidden Series 2 nitrous kits feature patent-pending low-pressure stainless steel nitrous nozzles, with a sophisticated nitrous/fuel atomization feature, to insure accurate and consistent gains. The Edelbrock/Glidden Series 2 “Super Victor” low-pressure nitrous kit can see gains from 200 to 500 hp. The direct port kits feature distribution blocks and hard lines to fit almost any engine compartment. The most impressive trait is the lack of engine damage. According to Billy Glidden, the 2002 NMRA Pro 5.0 Champion, “These new Edelbrock nozzles are tuner-friendly, make good power, and the system responds well to minimum changes in the tune-up. We put 45 runs on our black car (the world’s quickest Fox-body Super Street Outlaw car with a 7.51 @ 188.99 mph) before taking it apart. These new nozzles are quicker and faster than ever before…period.”

Edelbrock/Steele Series 1 high-pressure nozzles allow the use of 60 pounds of fuel pressure—more than six times higher than the competition—thanks to an exclusive Edelbrock design. This new, patent-pending design allows for a more complete burn process in the combustion chamber that results in more horsepower.

Edelbrock/Steele Series 1 nitrous kits include these new high-pressure nozzles and are available for Chevrolets, Fords and Chryslers. Systems for specific applications include pre-drilled rails for a “no-hassle” install. A universal system is available for custom applications.

All Edelbrock nitrous kits need to be matched with an Edelbrock nitrous bottle kit. Bottle kits come in various sizes, depending on your needs.

Other new Edelbrock nitrous components include bottle brackets, solenoids, safety switches, adapters, fittings and more.
