JG Edelbrock Products Tuned For Performance

"Total Power Package" For Honda/Acura Engines In Booth 1552 At Sema International Auto Salon

LONG BEACH, Calif. (April 19, 2002) – Performance and power are in...and JG Edelbrock’s got them at booth (No. 1552) at the SEMA International Auto.

That’s where the full catalog of JG Edelbrock’s high-tech engineered performance products aimed for the $1.2 billion sport compact market will be on display. JG Edelbrock products are easy to install and can be combined to form the famous "Total Power Package." A sampling of the JG Edelbrock products that will be featured at IAS, include:

Victor X manifolds: Optimized for maximum power from 7,000 to 10,000 rpm, Victor X manifolds are designed for turbo and all motor applications. Engineered for high-performance and race set-ups, Victor X has eight additional bosses, four for nitrous and four for added fuel injectors, and come complete with an aluminum fuel rail that accepts Bosch or Pico style injectors. The Victor X is 7.5 lbs lighter than the stock manifold and accepts oversized throttle bodies out-of-the-box, like the JG/Edelbrock 65mm throttle body. Dyno tests on a 450 hp turbocharged GSR motor show an increase of 28 hp at the peak and 41 hp at the maximum gain. These increases were picked up over a stock GSR manifold on the same motor. Applications: B18C, B16A, Type R and Acura LS.

Throttle bodies: Designed by JG Edelbrock and assembled by Magneti Marelli Powertrain USA, the throttle bodies come equipped with a new throttle position sensor for bolt-on performance right out of the box. With a larger than stock bore area, JG Edelbrock increases performance substantially and bolts to the stock or Victor X manifold with mounts for stock sensors and vacuum lines. Applications: 1.8L dual-cam VETC and 1.8L 1996-01 Type R Intregras.

Tuner jet kits: Include a variety of stainless steel jets to tune a nitrous system. Tuning cards included help keep track of jet changes. Available in three kit sizes: master tune, racer tune and street performance.

Cam gears: Lightweight T-7075 aluminum camshaft sprockets designed to advance or retard the cam up to 10 degrees. Features include precision-machined teeth and easy to read laser-etched adjustment lines. Applications: 1988-95 Honda Civic, 1990-01 Integra LS/RS/GSR, 1988-91 Prelude Si B20A5 and 1992-95 Prelude Si H23.

Pro Flo headers: Designed for Honda/Acura engines, including JDM spec engines. Gains on a stock motor over the OEM exhaust manifold are 6 hp at the wheels while retaining the stock cat-back exhaust system. Header has supported more than 250-plus hp at the wheels with optional race B-pipe. Applications: 1994-01 Integra GS/RS/LS (non-VTEC); 1994-99 Integra GSR; 1997-01 Integra Type R; 1992-95 Civic LX, DX, EX, Si; 1996-00 Civic EX; 1999-00 Civic Si; 1994-97 Del Sol (B16A VTEC).

Short shifter and shift knob: Polished billet T-7075 aluminum shifter designed to fit 1992-up Civics and 1994-up Intergras. Decreases travel and moves the shift pattern toward the driver with a compound bend for a more comfortable position. Mounted with two sealed DU® self-lubricating bearings for a positive feel. Works well with JG Edelbrock polished aluminum shift knob.

Performer IAS coil-over shocks: Revolutionary system incorporates the patented Inertia Active System for tight handling, a great ride and awesome launches. Includes Eibach adjustable springs that will fit stock height and lower cars 1_ to 2_ inches. Applications: 1996-00 Honda Civic, 1992-95 Civic, 1993-97 Honda Del Sol and 1994-01 Acura Integra.
