New Edelbrock/Glidden Competition Nitrous Nozzle Features Exclusive Design and 500+ HP Gains TORRANCE, Calif. (August 16, 2002) – Edelbrock has teamed with drag racer Billy Glidden to develop a competition nitrous oxide nozzle capable of delivering 500-plus horsepower gains using a single-stage direct port injection system. The patent-pending Series 2 design precisely atomizes the nitrous and fuel mixture, assuring consistent and accurate gains in horsepower. The new nozzles feature a 1/16-inch NPT design utilizing a 90-degree install, which is a direct bolt-on upgrade for most competitors’ nitrous nozzles. By pre-atomizing the fuel before it’s mixed with the nitrous, the new nozzles produce a better, more homogenous mixture. "Before we switched to the new nitrous nozzles, we would only get one race on the engine before we killed some parts," said Billy Glidden.
