TORRANCE, Calif. (June 7, 2002) – With a 64-year performance and racing heritage, the Edelbrock Corporation is continuing its dedication to motorsports with a vast amount of American-made, new racing-only products. Among the products offered are: Victor Jr. Nitrous Plate System (PNs 70055/70056): Offers superior distribution characteristics for 400-plus hp in competition engines. Shorter spray bars allow more nitrous to be injected into the intake for a more even distribution across the plenum, a more balanced air/fuel ration and a quicker response time. PN 70055 is for 4500 series carbs and PN 70056 is for standard flange square-bore carbs. Victor Series Rebuildable Mufflers (PNs 5538, 5539, 5588): These 16-inch-long and 5-inch diameter stainless steel mufflers are designed especially for high-hp racing applications. Shorter and lighter than Victor Series oval mufflers, these are rebuidable and mount directly to the header collector on Sprint cars, roadsters and other competition vehicles subject to sound restrictions. They feature a straight-through core design for superior flow without restriction. Dyno tests show a 10 hp gain over other brands. Edelbrock/Glidden Victor CNC Heads (PNs 61099, 77099): Designed in conjunction with Billy Glidden and engineered for small-block Fords, these heads are fully CNC-ported by Chapman Racing. Capable of more than 750 hp from 360 inches out of the box, the combination of altered valve locations and the Glidden chamber design produces maximum power in ultra-high-performance applications. Victor 454-R CNC Manifold (PN 2807): This special version of the Victor 454-R was developed with famed manifold specialist Keith Wilson for competition big-block Chevys running between 3,000 and 7,500 rpm. It is CNC-machined in all critical areas, including plenum chamber, port exists, divider walls and runner roofs, for out-of-the-box convenience.
