Innovative Design Includes New Qwik-Tune™ Feature TORRANCE, Calif. (Mar. 19, 2003) – When it comes to the next step in carburetor design, Edelbrock has made the adjustment...literally. That’s because adjustability is the key for Edelbrock’s most innovative carburetor ever, the Thunder Series AVS™. The new carburetors offer a unique, easily adjustable Qwik-Tune™ secondary air valve that allows for quick and easy adjustments to meet a variety of needs. Edelbrock’s Thunder Series AVS Carbs, developed by Edelbrock engineers, feature all of the same traits that make the Edelbrock Performer Series carburetors so dependable. Features like easily changeable metering rods and step-up springs, and no gaskets below the fuel line to prevent harmful leakage are part of every Thunder Series AVS™ carburetor. The Thunder Series AVS™ (AVS stands for air valve secondary) carburetors are available for either manual choke or electric choke vehicles, and come in 650 cfm (PN 1805 manual choke/PN 1806 electric choke), 800 cfm (PN 1812 manual choke/PN 1813 electric choke), and 650 cfm for off-road applications (PN 1825 manual choke/PN 1826 electric choke). The Thunder Series AVS™ Carburetors bolt on to most Chevrolets, and adapters are available for Ford, Chrysler and AMC vehicles. For 4x4 owners, Thunder Series AVS off-road carbs come with spring-loaded needles and seats for better performance in rough, uneven terrain. Distinctive black accented hardware and a lightweight ball-burnished aluminum, CNC-profiled front face give the Thunder Series AVS™ Carburetor a good look, too. The new line also comes with an option for dual fuel inlets, providing total flexibility in fuel system plumbing. Edelbrock has developed a dual feed fuel line (PN 8128, 8132 or 8133) specifically for the new Edelbrock Thunder Series AVS™ carburetor. Edelbrock Corporation is celebrating its 65th anniversary of manufacturing and marketing the highest quality aftermarket performance automotive and motorcycle products.
