Edelbrock Performer 5.0 RPM II Manifold Brings More Horsepower To Pony Cars TORRANCE, Calif. (May 8, 2003) – Edelbrock’s new Performer 5.0 RPM II manifold has shown significant gains in horsepower in 1986-95 5.0-liter Ford Mustangs. This new manifold, the latest in Edelbrock’s long line of best-selling aluminum intakes, is suited for both street and strip applications. Made in the USA and built for maximum performance and quality, the Edelbrock Performer 5.0 RPM II manifold (PN 7123) has shown horsepower gains over existing designs in the 1500 to 6500 rpm range. One of the major differences between the Performer 5.0 RPM II and Edelbrock’s Performer RPM 5.0 manifold (PN 7126) is it produces 20 more horsepower. In short, Edelbrock’s dedicated engineers have taken a great manifold and made it even better. The Performer RPM II manifold features a new V-shaped plenum with an increasing cross-sectional area, which passes over to eight large tapered runners. The upper manifold is powder-coated light titanium gray. The Performer 5.0 RPM II manifold is 50-state street legal for 1986-95 Mustangs. Optimum performance results from the new Performer 5.0 RPM II manifold occur when matched with Edelbrock’s 70 mm throttle body, as recommended by Edelbrock. Later model Mustangs (1994-95) require throttle body adapter PN 3835 and adapter kit PN 8025. Edelbrock also recommends the following installation items: Intake gasket: Fel-Pro #1250; Cams: Ford SVO X-303 or Z-303.
