TORRANCE, Calif. (June 18, 2004) - Edelbrock's Performer RPM Hydraulic Roller Cams deliver more punch from 1500 to 6500 rpm for high-performance street and racing applications.

Dyno-matched with other components of Edelbrock's Performer RPM Power Package, Performer RPM Hydraulic Roller Cams reduce friction, delivering increased power and fuel efficiency.

The Performer RPM hydraulic roller cams have a faster valve action, which improves performance by allowing higher valve velocities than stock cams.

Made from chilled iron for added durability, these roller camshafts virtually eliminate break-in problems. Plus, they maintain the valve lash, so virtually zero maintenance is required.

Performer RPM Hydraulic Roller Cams are available for a variety of Chevrolet engines, including 1997-02 LS1 (#2215 or 2216), 1992-97 LT1 (#2108), 1957-86 283-400 V8 (#2201), 1987 & later 283-400 V8 (#2204) and 396-502 V8 (#2261). Hydraulic roller cams are also available for 289-302 Fords (#2221).

Duration, lift, timing and centerline data is available in the 2004 Edelbrock Performance Catalog, along with horsepower graphs that show the power levels obtainable with the right combination of Edelbrock components.

It's important to note that Edelbrock cams are for street high-performance and racing applications only, and are not for heavy vehicles. They should be used with Edelbrock Performer RPM heads or other aftermarket heads, adjustable valvetrain components, screw-in studs, high-performance adjustable rocker arms and at least 9.5:1 compression ratio. Headers, high-energy ignitions, lower-than-stock rear gearing and a high-performance torque converter (in automatic transmission equipped vehicles) are also necessary.

Edelbrock's Hydraulic Roller Lifter Kits are precision-made and self-aligning. These retro-fit lifters are designed for use with hydraulic roller lifter cams in non-roller engine blocks originally equipped with conventional lifters.

Sold in complete sets, hydraulic roller lifter kits are available for 1986 & earlier small block Chevys (#97383), 1990 & earlier Mark IV big block Chevys (#97443) and small block Fords, 1962-87 302 and 1969-93 351-W (#97453).

The 2004 Edelbrock Performance Catalog and more information are available online at www.edelbrock.com, or by calling 1-800 FUN-TEAM (386-8326).
