TORRANCE, Calif. (Sept. 1, 2004) - Small-block Chevrolet engines get bolt-on power with vintage style thanks to Edelbrock's new C-26 Dual-Quad manifold (#5426) for 1996 and later Chevy V8s with Vortec (L31) cast iron or Edelbrock E-Tec aluminum heads.

New for 2004, the C-26 Vortec manifold allows hot rods and customs to keep the vintage dual carb look they desire while using modern heads. This manifold is low profile for hood clearance, and has good fitment on GM Fast Burn cylinder heads. It's designed to provide power for 262-400 c.i.d. engines working in the 1500-6500 rpm range.

An external water bypass boss is machined into the front of the water crossover for use on 1996 and later Vortec production engines.

For low-end torque, use with Edelbrock's Performer-Plus cam (#2102) or, for top-end power, Edelbrock's Torker-Plus cam kit (#5002) is your answer. Edelbrock also offers the throttle linkage, carburetors, and fuel inlet to allow consumers to put an entire dual-quad package together for a nominal price.
