TORRANCE, Calif. (Sept. 2, 2004) - Edelbrock throttle bodies are the best in the automotive performance business, for good reason: Edelbrock Corporation's long-standing partnership with Magneti Marelli Powertrain USA, a leader, like Edelbrock, in the design and production of technologically advanced automotive components.

Magneti Marelli has partnered with Edelbrock since 1988 on a variety of parts programs. For the last two years, that partnership has included throttle bodies designed, cast and machined by Edelbrock, then assembled and calibrated by Magneti Marelli.

Among the other products that Magneti Marelli manufactures in conjunction with Edelbrock from its plant in Sanford, N.C., are Pro-Flo EFI manifolds and fuel rails for AMC/Jeep, Fords, Chevys and Chryslers, and EPS and AVS carbs. Magneti Marelli has facilities in 23 countries, and a client list which includes BMW, DaimlerChrysler, Ford, GM and Mercedes-Benz.

"Our partnership with Magneti Marelli has been outstanding in terms of delivering the highest quality performance products to our customers," said Vic Edelbrock. "Magneti Marelli's name is synonymous with quality around the globe, and that's something we value very much at Edelbrock."

"We have a great relationship with Edelbrock," said Art Vollmer, Magneti Marelli Powertrain USA vice president, corporate quality. "It's a very good partnership."

Edelbrock's 1986-93 Mustang throttle bodies must be used with matching EGR plates. Edelbrock's throttle body and EGR plate offerings include the 65mm (#3824/3827), 70mm (#3825/3828) and 75mm (#3826/3829) throttle bodies for 1986-93 5.0L Ford Mustangs.

Edelbrock is one of the few aftermarket manufacturers that include a new throttle position sensor, factory installed and pre-calibrated with the same type of high-tech machinery used by original equipment manufacturers. Sealed ball bearings allow the throttle shaft to deliver smooth, dependable operation, the type of performance that Edelbrock is famous for.

Magneti Marelli sets the throttle bodies electronically, so when they come out of the box, the throttle bodies are ready to be installed on an engine.

Edelbrock's high-quality throttle bodies are available in several sizes to fit your needs, and bolt to the stock manifold with mounts for stock sensors and vacuum lines.

Edelbrock also manufactures throttle bodies for 1992-97 GM LT1 V8 engines (#3809/3810).

For competition engines, Edelbrock's Victor 70mm (#3811) and 75mm (#3812) Race throttle bodies can be easily adapted to a wide variety of applications. Edelbrock has eliminated the idle air motor mount and unnecessary vacuum tubes, making these throttle bodies ideal for boosted applications.

The throttle arm has a cable wheel with multiple take-off points. They are cast and fully machined by Edelbrock, then assembled and calibrated by Magneti Marelli Powertrain USA. Shipped complete and ready to run with a throttle position sensor installed and pre-set, the throttle bodies can be adapted to a number of applications using Edelbrock ½"-thick spacer/adapters (#38112, 38113, 38122, 38123, intake port matching required).

Consult the 2004 Edelbrock Performance Catalog (throttle bodies are on pages 120-121) or go to www.edelbrock.com for more information and Edelbrock parts that match their top-of-the-line throttle bodies.
