LAS VEGAS (Nov. 1, 2004) - Edelbrock has introduced a new manifold for the Ford 351 Cleveland engine. The new manifold is on display this week at the SEMA Show taking place at the Las Vegas Convention Center Nov. 2-5 (Edelbrock booth #22243). Designed to improve performance on the street, strip or racetrack, RPM Air-Gap manifolds feature an open space that separates the runners from the hot engine oil resulting in a cooler, denser charge. The result is high-performance street power from 1,500 to 6,500 RPM. Initial testing showed gains in excess of 15 hp over the current Performer manifold on iron heads. The Edelbrock Air-Gap design utilizes the same made-in-the-U.S.A. race-winning technology that's been used on Edelbrock's Victor Series competition intakes for many years. The RPM Air-Gap manifold features the award-winning Air-Gap design and standard square-bore carburetor flanges. The RPM Air-Gap manifolds for 351 Cleveland (#7564) engines are designed to complement Edelbrock's 351C Performer RPM cylinder heads, and will also work well with stock cast iron 2V or 4V cylinder heads. Founded in 1938 by Vic Edelbrock Sr., Torrance, Calif.-based Edelbrock Corp.
