LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Nov. 1, 2004) -Vic Edelbrock Sr.'s first performance part was a manifold for a Ford flathead V8 that he tested on the dry lake beds of Southern California just before World War II. Edelbrock continues its love affair with flathead Fords by displaying two 4-Barrel manifolds for them in SEMA Show booth #22243.

"We're especially proud to show these manifolds which are reproductions of the vintage Edelbrock #452 two-piece manifold with a new carb adapter flange 500, part number 1106," said Jack Mayberry, Edelbrock vice president of R&D. "They will permit the use of modern, square-bore carburetors including the Edelbrock Performer Series and Thunder Series."

The new USA-made manifolds, #1105 is for 1938-48 and #1107 is 1949-53 Ford V8s, join literally hundreds of manifold parts manufactured for American cars by Edelbrock.

Founded in 1938 by Vic Edelbrock Sr., Torrance, Calif.-based Edelbrock Corp. (NASDAQ NM: EDEL) will soon celebrates its 67th anniversary of manufacturing and marketing the highest quality aftermarket performance automotive and motorcycle products.
