LAS VEGAS (Nov. 1, 2004) - Russell has new pre-assembled, direct bolt-on, 50-state street-legal stainless steel brake lines for Ford Super Duty and Excursion lifted truck enthusiasts. The new brake lines are on display this week at the SEMA Show at the Las Vegas Convention Center (Russell booth #22333). The new longer brake lines feature PowerFlex stainless steel braided hose with zinc-plated fittings, factory-assembled for an easy installation on trucks. The end fittings on these lines match factory geometry, insuring the OEM routing is duplicated with extended length. The new products are designed for 4WD versions of 1999-04 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty, and 2000-04 Ford Excursions (with 4 to 5.5 inch lift, #696490; with 6 to 8 inch lift, #696500). The added length improves safety by preventing stretching of lines, which could lead to premature brake hose failure. Braided stainless Teflon brake hoses reduce expansion common in factory rubber lines. Hose expansion can lead to increased brake pedal travel and reduced brake performance. Every Russell brake line kit comes with all necessary mounting brackets and hardware. Russell brake lines meet the strict guidelines of the U.S. Department of Transportation MVSS-106 requirements.
