LAS VEGAS, Nev. (Nov. 1, 2004) - Heat is the enemy of exhaust systems and more powerful, higher-performance engines generate more heat. Now Edelbrock introduces its new titanium-colored, hear-resistant Ti-TECH™ coating to battle that heat and win. Ti-TECH™ will be shown in the Edelbrock booth (#22243) at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas.

According to Jack Mayberry, Edelbrock vice president of R&D, the new Ti-TECH™ coating, with a C-105 Titanium Satin Finish, will give Edelbrock headers heat stability to 1,600° F. "At higher temperatures, the Ti-TECH™ coating will flux, becoming harder and more abrasion resistant, unlike organic coatings that chalk and lose adhesion with extreme heat."

Ti-TECH™ provides superior protection in corrosive environments and extends the useful life of Edelbrock exhaust components. For 2005, all Edelbrock TES and Shorty Headers will include the Ti-TECH™ finish for just a few dollars more than old-fashioned painted finishes. These headers will also be offered with Edelbrock's polished ceramic coating for the ultimate in looks and performance.
