FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TORRANCE, CA (Jan. 13, 2006) - Factory suspension parts are fine for daily driving, but when pushed to their limits, they can affect handling in a negative way. With that in mind, Edelbrock has developed a few components for the driver who wants a reactive suspension, along with a good ride. First, there are our tubular lower trailing arms. They're constructed of 1-1/4"x.120" wall steel tubing offering increased strength over stock units. They feature a polyurethane bushing on one end for a positive transfer of road feel, with a spherical ball on the other end to eliminate bushing bind. They're powder coated with a gloss black finish that offers durabability and great looks. Next, there's our adjustable panhard rod. The job of the panhard rod is to keep the axle properly positioned for improved cornering and better handling as the factory component has a tendency to flex under hard cornering. Also, the factory rods are usually non-adjustable, so if the suspension height ever changes, the stock rod cannot adapt. This new panhard rod is designed to replace the factory unit, but with an added dimension of adjustability. It's constructed from 1-1/4" cold rolled steel tubing that keeps the real axle solidly located, even in severe situations, and allows left or right adjustments to accommodate all suspension heights for precise handling.
