TORRANCE, CA - Through the generosity of the employees of Edelbrock and a match by the Corporation, the Vic and Nancy Edelbrock Employee Scholarship Fund supports high school students with an automotive passion in local communities. Edelbrock is pleased to award as recipients of the 2008 Vic and Nancy Edelbrock Employee Scholarship Award to Torrance CA High School students Anthony Peterson and Angel Sanchez.

Anthony and Angel were announced by Edelbrock CEO, Vic Edelbrock along with daughter Christi Edelbrock and granddaughter Courtney Isom. Torrance Education Foundation members Pat Furey and Kevin O'Brien, Torrance Superintendent George Mannon, Principal John O'Brien and Auto Shop program instructor Adam Drace were all on hand in support of the award presentation. Each student received a $750.00 scholarship, an Edelbrock letterman jacket, personalized plaque and a copy of the book, Edelbrock: Made in USA, signed by the Edelbrock family.

Anthony Peterson and Angel Sanchez are top performers in their automotive class and will be continuing their automotive training at Universal Technical Institute (UTI).

"I want to thank Torrance High and Edelbrock for this scholarship and I will take advantage of this opportunity to work towards a rewarding career in the automotive field" states Anthony.
