Edelbrock #8817 Water Pump SBC Competition 3/8 npt outlet holes designed for circle track and endurance racing applications, they feature a revised impeller entry, a hard black anodized finish and .100" thicker rear cover for greater durability. Auxiliary water outlets ease fabrication of custom plumbing systems and auxiliary fittings are available as an or npt. These Water Pumps provide maximum cooling with equal distribution to both sides of the block within 1%. By eliminating hot spots, the engine produces optimum power from every cylinder without detonation and pre-ignition. Other features include billet steel hub and heavy-duty ball/roller bearings.

#8815 is a reverse rotation water pump for 1984-92 Corvettes with serpentine drive belt; Not for LT-1 Corvettes. Polished Aluminum Water Pump #8825 fits the same applications as #8815; #8881 is a reverse rotation water pump for 1987-93 passenger cars and light duty trucks with serpentine drive belt. Not for Corvettes EnduraShine Coated Aluminum Water Pump #88814 and Polished Aluminum Water Pump #8891 fit the same applications as #8881; #8882 is a short leg pump for 1955-'68 passenger cars, light duty trucks, and 1969-'70 Corvettes with AFTERMARKET serpentine belt pulleys (reverse rotation); This pump is ideal for street rods with aftermarket serpentine belt pulleys. Polished Aluminum Water Pump #8892 fits the same applications as #8882; Installation is the same as for original equipment water pumps. Consult service manual for specific procedures, if necessary; CAUTION: Be sure that fan bolts don't protrude through the hub so far that they hit the water pump housing; NOTE: Removal of backing plate is not recommended, as there are no user serviceable parts in the water pump. If backing plate is removed, use conventional gasket sealer (not RTV silicone) on gasket.
