Before starting engine, you will need to prime the oil system. Do not turn engine over with starter motor for priming. • Block is equipped for different dipstick locations. Plug the one you are not using. • It is important when first starting the engine to keep the rpm above 2,000 for the first 30 minutes. Make sure all fluid levels are topped off and all lines and hoses are hooked up correctly. The break in must be done non-stop. Otherwise, the cam will not break-in properly. This is also a good time to look for leaks of any kind. • These engines are not supplied with the crankshaft bolt due to many different applications. The customer must purchase and install the crankshaft bolt that matches the given application.
