Edelbrock part #45260 Performer RPM small-block Ford 347 crate engine offers the best of quality and performance with 438 HP & 413 ft/lbs. of torque. This engine combines a Dart cast iron 4 bolt main block and a forged Scat rotating assembly which is then paired with our proven Edelbrock Power Package parts. This Performer RPM 347 engine includes a Milodon oil pan and pickup designed for use with 1973 and earlier applications that require a front sump to clear the crossmember and/or suspension. Installation Notes
  • There is no oil in your engine.; Your engine is supplied with 6 Qtrs. of Edelbrock Break-In Oil in the crate. Before starting engine, you will need to prime the oil system. Do not turn engine over with starter motor for priming.; Equipped with 3-bolt pulley damper, right-hand inlet water pump and left-hand timing pointer. Optional 4-bolt pulley damper, left-hand inlet water pump and right-hand timing pointer available by request.; Front sump engines should install an OEM dipstick (Ford #M-6750-A302) in the passenger side of the timing cover.; Any dipstick holes that are not used must be plugged. The threaded provision on the Milodon oil pan will require a 5/8"-18 plug. Remove any paint from the engine mount bosses, cylinder block to clutch housing or transmission mounting surface, and the crankshaft flange before installing engine.
